In short: Shopware 6.7.15.1 was released on October 7, 2026. The maintenance update adds a new setting that shows the complete legal guarantee notice at checkout. It also fixes bugs in the Rule Builder, in the cleanup of old theme files and in the order quantity of digital products. If you customized the order confirmation mail, you need to change one detail in the template.

The update matters most if you sell digital products, use Rule Builder conditions for shipping or promotions, or run your store behind an HTTP cache or CDN.

Summary

  • A complete legal guarantee notice can be shown directly below the terms and conditions at checkout.
  • The Rule Builder evaluates all line items in the cart again, not just products.
  • Old theme files are no longer deleted too early, which prevents 404 errors for CSS and JS.
  • Digital products respect the configured maximum order quantity again.
  • GARAN labels in mails now come from a template variable. Check customized order confirmations.

What is new?

Legal guarantee notice at checkout

The cart settings have a new option that shows the complete, localized legal guarantee notice directly below the terms and conditions at checkout. Until now, the notice was only available there via a link or a modal.

The option is disabled by default. It only works if the existing guarantee notice setting is enabled as well. Themes can adjust its position through dedicated Twig blocks.

Rule Builder evaluates all line items again

Since 6.7.14.0, most line item conditions in the Rule Builder only evaluated line items of type "product". Credits, custom line items and line items added by extensions were ignored. A single custom line item could hide shipping methods or block promotions, for example with a negated condition such as "Item with tag / All / Are none of".

Conditions now evaluate a line item by the data it carries instead of by its type. Shopware rated this fix as critical. Extensions do not need any changes.

Old theme files are kept for 24 hours

This fix is marked as critical, too. After recompiling a theme, the previously active theme directory was deleted as soon as its files were older than 24 hours. The age counted from compilation, not from the switch, so a theme compiled weeks ago disappeared immediately. Pages served from an HTTP cache or CDN then referenced CSS and JS files that returned 404.

Now the scheduled task first marks an unused directory and deletes it no earlier than 24 hours later. The --no-cleanup option of theme:compile and theme:change no longer has any effect and will be removed in 6.8.0.0. Remove it from your deploy scripts.

Maximum order quantity for digital products

Since 6.7.14.0, digital products were limited to one unit per order regardless of the setting. The configured maximum order quantity applies again. Digital products without their own maximum, for example ones created via the API, fall back to the general cart maximum. To keep one unit per order, set the maximum order quantity to 1.

Other changes

  • GARAN labels in mails: The order confirmation now reads the GARAN label from the garanLabels template variable. The sw_garan_label_mail Twig filter is deprecated. A migration updates unchanged templates automatically. If you customized the order confirmation, replace nestedItem.productId|sw_garan_label_mail(context) with garanLabels[nestedItem.productId] ?? null, and in the plain text version lineItem.productId|sw_garan_label_mail(context) with garanLabels[lineItem.productId] ?? null.
  • Feed sales channels: Sales channels such as product comparison or Agentic Commerce can be saved again even if their default currency is missing from their currency list. Since 6.7.15.0 they were rejected with an error.
  • Guarantee status of variants: The Administration shows the guarantee confirmation that variants inherit from the parent product correctly again.

What 6.7.15.1 does not fix

Two known bugs from 6.7.15 are still open: an HTTP 500 error with SwagPayPal in the PayPal merchant integration, and a missing currency in the sales channel context that can make extensions crash. According to the issue, 6.7.15.1 is affected as well. Details are in Shopware News Week 41/2026.

Frequently asked questions

Do I have to enable the new guarantee notice at checkout?

That depends on your legal requirements. The option is off by default. Check with your legal advisor whether the complete notice should appear at checkout.

Why were some shipping methods or promotions not shown?

Since 6.7.14.0, the Rule Builder ignored credits and custom line items in most line item conditions. 6.7.15.1 fixes this.

Why could customers only order one digital product?

Since 6.7.14.0, digital products were wrongly limited to one unit per order. With 6.7.15.1, the configured maximum order quantity applies again.

What happens to my customized mail templates?

Shopware updates unchanged templates automatically. If you customized the order confirmation, you need to switch the GARAN label output yourself (see above).

What should you do now?

  1. Install 6.7.15.1 on a staging system first.
  2. Check that your plugins and theme are compatible with 6.7.15.1, especially SwagPayPal and extensions that read the currency from the sales channel context.
  3. Test your Rule Builder conditions for shipping methods and promotions with credits and custom line items in the cart.
  4. Check the maximum order quantity of your digital products.
  5. Switch customized order confirmation mails to garanLabels.
  6. Remove --no-cleanup from your deploy scripts.
  7. Decide whether to enable the complete guarantee notice at checkout.

I handle updates like this as part of Shopware maintenance, including a test on a staging system.
