Custom Software Development with PHP & Symfony

Standard software covers 80 % – the remaining 20 % cost the most time in daily operations. That is exactly where I start: I build the software with PHP and Symfony that actually maps your processes, instead of forcing them into a tool that was built for something else.

What I build

• Integrations: connecting wholesalers, suppliers, logistics providers, marketplaces and payment providers – via REST, SOAP, CSV/XML exchange, EDI-like formats or file imports. Including error handling, retry logic and a traceable log.
• Inventory and shipping logic: stock across several warehouses, picking, shipping rules, label generation, returns – as a standalone application or as a service next to the store.
• CRM and ERP connections: synchronizing customers, orders, invoices and products between store and inventory system, with clear rules about which system leads.
• Microservices and background services: price calculation, stock reconciliation, order processing, reporting – as independent Symfony services with queues, schedules and monitoring.
• Internal tools and back-office applications: admin interfaces, dashboards, approval workflows – everything that otherwise happens in spreadsheets and e-mails.

E-commerce focus

Most of my projects revolve around companies running a Shopware store. So I know the typical friction points: product data from several sources, stock levels that are never right, orders that are reworked manually, suppliers with their own formats. I build software that closes these gaps and works cleanly with Shopware – without bending the store itself.

Typical tasks

Wholesaler and supplier integrations

Products, prices and stock arrive as BMEcat, CSV, Excel or via FTP folders – every supplier differently. I build the import that reads the data automatically, logs deviations and reports errors instead of silently writing them into the store.

ERP and inventory system connections

JTL-Wawi, weclapp, Xentral, Odoo, SAP Business One or an in-house system: orders, customers, invoices and products are synchronized in both directions, with a clear rule about which system leads.

Accounting exports

Documents, payment methods and accounts handed over cleanly to your accounting software – including credit notes, partial payments and the edge cases where standard exports fail.

Marketplace integration without plugin subscriptions

Amazon, eBay, Kaufland or Otto: orders automatically into the store or ERP, stock and prices back – as your own integration that belongs to you.

Shipping carriers and tracking

DHL, DPD, GLS, UPS or Sendcloud via API: label generation, tracking feedback to customers, return labels – embedded in your shipping process.

Dropshipping automation

The order goes to the supplier automatically, tracking comes back, the customer is informed – without anyone forwarding e-mails.

Custom inventory management

Several warehouses, batches, expiry dates, minimum stock with reorder suggestions, picking lists – the logic that eventually collapses in a spreadsheet.

Pricing and tiered prices

Customer group prices, raw material indices, promotion logic, dealer discounts – rules no standard covers, as a traceable pricing service.

B2B customer portal

Business customers see orders, invoices, delivery status and documents themselves and upload order templates – noticeably relieving the sales office.

Quotation and order management

Inquiry, quote, approval, order, invoice: the "small ERP" for merchants and service providers who do not want a big system.

Returns management

Returns portal for customers, inspection in the warehouse, credit note, restocking – one continuous process instead of paperwork.

Product configurator

Made-to-measure, variants, accessory dependencies and real-time pricing – the classic special case standard stores fail at.

Consolidating product data (PIM light)

Merge data from several sources, enrich, validate and publish to store, marketplaces and catalogues.

Reporting dashboard

Revenue, margins, stock turnover and return rate from store and ERP combined – up to date daily, without spreadsheet tinkering.

Monitoring and alerting

Import stuck, stock running out, payment missing, integration not responding: notification by e-mail or Slack before the customer notices.
