Common questions before requesting
Which projects can I ask you for?
Custom software with PHP and Symfony: integrations with ERP, inventory, marketplaces and accounting, back-office tools, new Symfony applications and upgrades, modernisation and takeover of existing PHP applications, and the company website of your store.
Do you only work with Shopware merchants?
No. My focus is e-commerce, but the software around the store is independent of the shop system: I build integrations, inventory tools and internal applications for companies using Shopware, other shop systems or no store at all.
Can you take over an application someone else built?
Yes, that is the most common case. After a short assessment you know where the application stands, which risks exist and what the next steps cost – as a report with a roadmap.
How quickly are you available?
I am usually available at short notice and reply to inquiries on the same working day, at the latest on the next one. For the first contact, system, goal and desired timeframe are enough.
Fixed price or hourly rate?
Both. Clearly scoped tasks are offered at a fixed price after a short analysis; ongoing development and maintenance by hourly rate or as a monthly allowance.
An invoice from Cyprus – how does that work for VAT?
You receive a regular invoice from Stefan Pilz Ltd. with an EU VAT identification number, in euros. No Cypriot VAT is charged to companies outside Cyprus: within the EU, the reverse-charge mechanism applies to B2B services – you account for VAT in your own country and normally deduct it as input tax in the same step. For Switzerland and other non-EU countries, the local rules for purchased services apply. Contracts, communication and support are in German or English, remote and in your time zone.
